Am I too big, will I fit? Let us help you decide!

Haines, Alaska

Haines Hitch-Up RV Park:  851 Main Street, Haines, AK 99827 - This is a nice RV Park.  Very well groomed and centrally located.  They don't honor any club or membership discounts, but they do have a weekly rate that saves you approximately $15.00.   They have full hookups, laundry facilities and they are pet friendly.  They do not allow you to wash your rig; however, there is an RV/car wash across the street that you can pay to use.  We found that our rig was too tall to fit in the RV Wash bay, and we ended up using the lot behind the Police Department.  We had plenty of water in out tank and we asked in the office of the police department if it would be ok to park in their back lot to clean our rig, and they were very nice and accommodating.  We parked in the gravel lot and washed our rig, thanked them and made sure we cleaned up after ourselves.  People in the area are very friendly and if you don't see something you need, it never hurts to ask.

There is a State Park Campground a few miles outside of town that we will accommodate large rigs.  This is a beautiful area, but you definitely have to boondock/dry camp.  The fees are approximately $10/night.

There is a campground on the lake on the other side of town passed the State Ferry Service, but there are only a couple of sites we could possibly fit in to and maneuvering with the low hanging tree's could be tricky, rate is also approximately $10/night.  This camp ground is better suited for smaller RV setups.
