We use our credit card for most everything, so we do not have to carry much cash. Just contact credit card company let them know you will be traveling during this period, so they do not refuse charges for your protection.
Vehicles - Have all of your vehicles that are making the trip, serviced and inspected. Do not forget the spare tire. We do not travel with a spare for our motor home.

Weather and temperatures will be all over the place, good wet weather gear, and clothes to keep you warm, gloves, but there will also be days that you can wear shorts.
Camera Equipment - Make sure you bring equipment to clean your camera, batteries, charger, and if you dont have a way to get your pictures of your disk, you might consider bring more then a normal trip. We had days were Cheryl took over 700 pictures.
Firearms Do not try to bring them into Canada. For those of you who have to have a gun, mail them to Alaska, and upon return, mail them back home. Thinking of hunting while in Alaska with a guide company, check with them, in most cases they provide the firearm. www.cfc.ccaf.gc.ca
